Disari Designs

My designs are art with purpose. They are meant to be beautiful on two levels the eye and the soul, each of them is a labor of love. The beginning point is the centerpiece. Usually my designs begin with a stunning focal point a stone that I have drilled, or a lovely bead I have found, or sometimes a beautiful pendant.
That is the soul of the piece.. everything else is to enhance that the 'stone' leads the way it wants to be beautiful but it also wants to say what it needs to say or accomplish its goal.. It is up to me to interpret that in a beautiful way for the person it is meant for.

Stones have long been prized by man for beauty. I think for 'feel' also. There have been 'birthstones' for thousands of years. Stones with properties attributed to them it isn't a new idea, nor is talismanic jewelry using gems and stones.. Crystal healing and aid is an ancient idea. I certainly didn't invent it.. I truly believe in it. I have had some very interesting and soul touching moments that have made me believe that I do have something to accomplish with this talent.
I want to create something that has purpose and beauty.. I loved the feel of gems and stones long before I ever got my degree in psychology. But I also know that anything that gives a person a little extra confidence in themselves is a good thing. The 'power' of the stones or the piece is just a benefit. Many times it does seem to work. Smile, maybe the ancients figured it out. Many of us have a certain ring, bracelet or necklace we feel 'naked' without it, maybe for sentiment or significance but sometimes just because we like its 'feel'. It has been said there is a 'cure' for everything in nature most think it is botanical.
I have sometimes felt that in certain special crystals and stones there is a true healing spirit. I like to think that in my designs I enhance that spirit. I also like to create lovely things that please both the eye and perhaps speak on a deeper more visceral level. Play a melody of healing and comfort in a world that is chaotic .. sometimes painful and confusing. Just maybe shed a little light in a dark time. or a feeling a warmth in a cold place, or just a little feeling of not being quite so alone in a time of need. Smile, or something that just makes you feel good and more beautiful..

So step into Disari Designs and find the goddess within and feed the diva need.. Just enjoy yourself.
